what to expect

1. Shaping

2. Color Selection

2. Color Selection

The first step is the shaping/drawing of the brows according to PhiBrows methodology.  The brows are drawn to fit the shape of the customers face and some modifications can be made to suit the customer desires.

The artist then selects and/or mixes the pigments to match the natural hair's color.  At this stage, the customer can also review the shape before the artist begins.

3. Microblading

4. Anesthetic Application

The artist then begins drawing individual hair strands in the direction of natural  growth.  It is done using a manual pen with sterile blades that deposit pigment into the uppermost layers of the skin. The blade glides with gentle pressure, causing fine cuts that resemble hairs.

4. Anesthetic Application

After the artist has drawn each individual hair, anesthetic is applied.  This completely numbs the area so the artist can continue to work while the client is completely relaxed and comfortable.

5. Final Touches

4. Anesthetic Application

5. Final Touches

After completing all necessary strokes, the artist will then remove excess ink from the skin and apply a pigment mask (if necessary).  PhiBrows Skin Candy will be applied to the brow to seal in the color.

6. Aftercare

4. Anesthetic Application

5. Final Touches

The customer will be provided with written instructions for aftercare, but can return to their daily activities with minimal redness around the brow area.  A second treatment is scheduled 4-6 weeks following the first appointment - only then are your brows considered complete.

AFTERCARE

before your appointment

The following restrictions ensure that the skin is in the best possible condition for the procedure:

  • Avoid exercise the day of the procedure (before and after) as the body heat will expand the pores.
  • Please do not wear makeup on the day of the treatment as it will need to be removed. The skin needs to be clean and disinfected prior to the treatment.
  • Avoid heavy sunlight and especially sunburn 3 days before procedure.
  • Do NOT drink coffee or anything with caffeine the day of procedure.
  • Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen, omega-3, or fish oil (unless medically necessary) 48-72 hours prior to the procedure. (Alvedon is okay!)
  • Do NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before or after the procedure.
  • The following treatments should be avoided within four weeks of the procedure: Botox or other fillers; Chemical Peels; and Laser treatments.
  • If you sweat heavily, advise your artist so that she may recommend special aftercare cream accordingly.
  • Please color brow hair no less than 2 weeks before the treatment, and no sooner than 30 days after treatment.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROCEDURE CANNOT BE DONE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING, TAKING ACNE MEDICATION OR BLOOD THINNING MEDICATION.**

If you have any questions about these restrictions, please let us know
